Dream Journal: January 10, 2019
I woke up this morning having had a very strange dream. I was on a boat in a bay/harbor. We had backpacks with us, I had my phone. As I turned around, the boat had more people and we were fishing. I looked back again and there were more people and the boat was rocking back and forth, unable to keep an even keel. It was at this point that I noticed that the boat was lower in the water from the weight and still unsteady. I dropped my phone and watched it slide along the bottom and lodge under a bench seat. I proceeded to pick it up and turn around again to watch the captain and other people moving back and forth attempting to regain stability but only pushing the sides of the boat closer and closer to going under. We are no longer in a bay/harbor but seem to be super close to a dock and then I watch in slow motion as the boat dips to the left and the edge catches the water before I know it the boat is sinking in slow motion. I don’t know how I manage to get on the dock but I am on the dock and dry.
I turn around and I am on my phone talking to someone about trying to get my stuff from the boat and how I don’t know if I will be able to get home. When they ask why I tell them that the school I am at (I feel like I am an exchange student) is located behind the walls of a prison in New Zealand. I flash back to walking through the gates and be led by a native guard and a prison guard. And then I back in my room on a higher floor watching the gates and people getting led in by native guards and prison guards much like I was.
That is when I woke up.
